HW025LP
Beige Palace, a minimalist rock trio certified by Steve Albini, comprises the talents of Freddy Vinehill-Cliffe (Thank), Kelly Bishop (This Is How I Win), and Ant Bedford (Magnapinna). Their second full-length LP, "Making Sounds For Andy," initially presents a more direct and immediate approach compared to its predecessor, "Leg." This is evident in the shorter song lengths, adoption of traditional verse/chorus structures, and the incorporation of more conventional "rock" riffs. However, it's all a cunning ruse! Upon closer inspection, "Making Sounds For Andy" reveals itself to be a compilation of the band's most introspective and intricate material to date. Linear drum patterns clash with asymmetrical rhythms, creating a dynamic interplay against a backdrop of folk-inspired perpetual canon.
Human Worth has produced a limited edition run of "Bagagwaa Blue" vinyl, enclosed in a stunning sleeve featuring the artwork of Kelly Bishop. Moreover, 10% of all sales proceeds will be contributed to the charity PAFRAS, which aids destitute asylum seekers in the Leeds area.
