Hot Salvation

As the world slowly began to emerge from a prolonged period of lockdown, and a pervasive sense of discontent about the state of the natural world permeated everything, Michael Deragon (Heliochrysum - Bedroom Community) turned to his deep-rooted love for the ocean, particularly his passion for surfing, as a source of musical rejuvenation. The outcome of this introspective journey is the album titled "DAWN," a musical exploration rooted in profound respect for the sea, a study of the ocean in all its manifestations, and an exploration of how the vast expanse of the ocean encapsulates both the secular and the divine within its rhythmic waves.

"DAWN" is meticulously crafted and composed using Deragon's extensive collection of synthesisers, processed pianos, discovered sounds, fragmented loops, guitars, and various other electronic percussive elements. Despite this rich array of tools, the music on "DAWN" maintains a remarkable simplicity and resounds with a clear and purposeful vision.
